Where Do We Belong is a song borne of frustration at today's attitudes towards each other. For those who find themselves shaking their heads looking down on a world that has changed so much in recent years. It asks "Where did we go wrong", and "Where do we belong" in this modern social-media infected world.
It was written and recorded in the last week of September 2021 in my studio in Glengormley. The acoustic guitar riff was written in 2020 with a rough idea of vocal melody but It was only when I got into the studio that it evolved from (in my head anyway) a Neil Young(esque) song to a Pink Floyd(esque) track. The cover is a nod to The Division Bell.
For those interested in the instrumentation, the track features a McIlroy AJ60 acoustic guitar, a McIlroy Electric guitar, Squier bass. Recorded using #Sonar Producer DAW and a few plugins.
